Judging Omarchy

I like exotic Linux distros, and the more the better. Partly because when I started down this road, it was all wilderness and the thing was Slackware. Want something? DIY. The guy who taught me to love Linux, my first and only programming teacher, had me writing a modem driver for Slack in the very first week.

That's exotic. Was that all there was back then? No. But that's where I started liking the strangest, the hardest, the different or, to keep it simple, the exotic.

Anyway, the other day I was messing around on IRC and saw the devs trashing DHH, the founder of Ruby on Rails. Blah, blah, blah, xenophobe, nazi, blah, blah, blah, the usual, you know? If he really is all that, he should burn in hell. But my opinions are beside the point. In this world war of devs, I'm the US poaching scientists for the government.

And my scientist here is as exotic as my tastes, and it goes by the name: Omarchy.

Whatever your position or opinion, you have to be able to recognize when something is at least a little interesting. Take advantage of it, learn from it and make something better than what you found.

That's how, today, I decided to try Omarchy.

And you know what? I'll give you my opinion.

It's boring. And fuck DHH...

And that's it. _#peace_
